Rowan received her bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Toronto in 2021. After doing research in ultrafast X-ray science and particle physics, she finally realized nothing is cooler than ultracold. She joined E9 in Spring 2022 to study bosonic and fermionic atoms in interesting optical lattice geometries. Outside the lab, Rowan enjoys painting, biking, and hunting for free stuff on the sidewalks of Berkeley.
